The University has a set of academic regulations that all undergraduate students must follow. By accepting admission, the student assumes responsibility for knowing and complying with the regulations and procedures set forth by the University.

Academic Adjustments for Students with Disabilities
Students with learning disabilities may request an adjustment to their Second Language Competency and/or Quantitative (Q) Competency requirement in the Common Curriculum and/or additional requirements in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. -
Academic Misconduct Policies and Procedures
Review the University’s Academic Integrity policy and academic misconduct procedures. Faculty must promptly notify students of alleged misconduct, and all cases must be reported to the Office Community Standards for official records. -
Academic Standing Requirements
Students placed on academic notice have fallen below University academic standards and must take steps to improve their performance. CLAS students must complete an Academic Success Plan and meet with an Academic Services Center advisor. -
COVID-19 (Spring 2020)
Temporary Spring 2020 COVID-19 policies expanded pass/fail grading options, extended key deadlines, and adjusted University and CLAS requirements. These changes applied only to Spring 2020 courses. -
Grade Appeals
Students may appeal a CLAS course grade if they believe an error occurred in the grading process. Appeals follow a step-by-step process, beginning with the instructor and, if necessary, progressing to the department head and the CLAS Grade Appeal Committee. -
Graduation
Apply for graduation through the Student Administration System by the required deadline and submit final plans of study for all majors and minors. Applying early helps ensure your degree requirements are reviewed and any issues are resolved before graduation. -
Internship Policy
Review CLAS internship policies, including enrollment, credit, grading, and eligibility requirements. -
Readmission to the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences
Students seeking readmission to CLAS after an absence or dismissal must apply through the Dean of Students Office. Readmission after a dismissal requires meeting eligibility criteria, including time away and successful completion of additional academic coursework. -
Second Language Policy
CLAS students must meet the Second Language Competency requirement through prior language study, a Seal of Biliteracy, or approved college-level language coursework. Students with existing language proficiency may have additional options for demonstrating competency.
