When To Submit the Form
You can use the Online Program Change Form to:
- Change your major to the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) if you are currently enrolled in another UConn school or college.
- Change your CLAS major to another major within CLAS.
- Declare most UConn minors, regardless of your school or college.
Before You Submit the Form
Newly Admitted Students
If you have been newly admitted to UConn, major and school change requests must be submitted through the applicant portal using the Admission Appeal and Change Request Form.
Double Majors and Dual Degrees
The CLAS Online Program Change Form cannot be used to declare a double major. To add a second major, complete the Double Major Declaration form.
The following dual degree programs may be declared using this system:
- School of Engineering: Engineering Spanish Program (ESP), Eurotech, or Technopole France.
- School of Business: EUROBIZ dual degree with German.
For all other CLAS dual degree requests, complete the Additional Degree Petition form.
Declaring Certain Minors
Most UConn minors can be declared through this system. However, the following minors must be declared through their respective colleges:
- School of Business minors: Use the Minors in Business declaration process.
- College of Agriculture, Health and Natural Resources (CAHNR) minors: Submit your request through the CAHNR website.
If the major or minor you want to declare is not listed in this system, contact the department that offers the program or the CLAS Academic Services Center for assistance.
